Waleed Ammar develops models for converting natural language text into structured representations. Before starting his Ph.D. at Carnegie Mellon University, Waleed was an SDE2 at Microsoft Research, web developer at eSpace Technologies, and teaching assistant at Alexandria University. He was awarded the Google PhD fellowship award and two Microsoft Research Tech Transfer awards. In his ample free time, Waleed plays with his daughter Salma, juggles, swims and plays tennis.
