Announcing the COVID-19 Open Research Dataset

AI has a crucial role to play in fighting the global threat of COVID-19. Semantic Scholar has partnered with several leading research groups to prepare the COVID-19 Open Research Dataset (CORD-19), a unique resource of over 29,000 scholarly articles about COVID-19, SARS-CoV-2, and related coronaviruses.

This important resource is freely available, allowing the global AI research community to apply recent advances in natural language processing and other AI technologies to generate new insights in support of the ongoing fight against this infectious disease.

Semantic Scholar launches new AI-Powered Adaptive Feed

The available scientific data about COVID-19 is already overwhelming and growing quickly. To help scholars overcome information overload, Semantic Scholar has launched the new AI-powered Research Feed, a free service that recommends arXiv papers relevant to your interests based on your ratings.

This new adaptive feed, along with the relevant supplementary content Semantic Scholar provides alongside research papers, is your key to staying on top of new COVID-19 research. Start with our public COVID-19 feed and adapt it to your preferences, or build a new feed based on your interests.

COVID-19 Open Research Dataset Challenge (CORD-19)

Kaggle is hosting the COVID-19 Open Research Dataset Challenge, a series of important questions designed to inspire the community to use CORD-19 to find new insights about the COVID-19 pandemic including the natural history, transmission, and diagnostics for the virus, management measures at the human-animal interface, lessons from previous epidemiological studies, and more.

Spread the word about CORD-19

Please share this important resource, and help us to encourage research groups and publishers provide more open-access, free resources to the AI community in support of finding answers about this pandemic. If you have content to add to CORD-19, please contact us at: partnerships@semanticscholar.org
