Ai2 at NVIDIA GTC 2026
March 9, 2026
Ai2
We'll be at NVIDIA-GTC in San Jose from March 16–19! Here's where to find us.
Panel—Open Models: Where We Are and Where We're Headed
Ai2's Hanna Hajishirzi, Senior Director of AI and Co-Lead of the Olmo and Tulu projects, joins Jensen Huang and leaders from across the industry for a conversation on the state and future of open models.
If you're at GTC, don't miss this one.
Time: Wed, Mar 18 · 12:30–1:50 PM PT
Panel—The State of Open-Source AI
Open source is no longer just a distribution model—it's becoming the R&D engine for sophisticated AI. Ai2's Ranjay Krishna, Director of PRIOR and the team behind the Molmo family of multimodal models, joins Jonathan Cohen (VP of Applied Research, NVIDIA), Vartika Singh (Lead, Strategic AI, NVIDIA), and Ying Sheng (Co-Founder and CEO, RadixArk) to dig into where open is heading next. At Ai2, we've seen that the most durable progress comes when the community can inspect, reproduce, and extend models end-to-end—not just download weights. This session will explore what it takes to make open ecosystems trustworthy, scalable, and production-ready.
Time: Tue, Mar 17 · 4:00–4:40 PM PT
Talk—Build Trust and Discovery Through Open-Source AI in Research
In research, trust is verifiability. Ai2's Hanna Hajishirzi joins Percy Liang (Co-Founder, Together AI) to explore how open-source AI can strengthen scientific workflows. If we want AI systems that accelerate discovery, we need models and pipelines that scientists can audit, reproduce, and adapt to new domains—with clear provenance and transparent evaluation. This session focuses on making methods inspectable, results repeatable, and tools easier to build on across labs.
Time: Wed, Mar 18 · 2:00–2:40 PM PT
Demo—Olmo Hybrid SFT Training
Stop by Lambda's booth (1507) to watch them run supervised fine-tuning on Olmo Hybrid, with real-time observability metrics — GPU temperature, memory usage, and overall utilization — streaming on screen. It's a clear view of both model progress and system health during training, and a chance to see our collaboration with Lambda, whose B200 infrastructure powered the original pretraining run, in action.
Time: Throughout GTC
Demo—Asta AutoDiscovery
Find us at the Cirrascale booth (238), where members of our Asta AutoDiscovery team will be there to give demos and answer your burning questions. AutoDiscovery is our AI-powered tool that explores your datasets autonomously—generating hypotheses, running experiments, and surfacing findings you might never have thought to look for.
Time: Wed, Mar 18 · 3–5 PM PT
After-hours
Cirrascale Presents: The Private AI Party
Networking reception during GTC 2026, one block from the convention center. Premium hors d'oeuvres, signature cocktails, and live entertainment. Sponsored by Cirrascale + partners Google, Ai2, Cisco, and Dell Technologies.
Time: Wed, Mar 18 · 7:00–10:00 PM PT
Location: Aura Kitchen + Bar, 389 S 1st St, San Jose, CA 95113
