Ai2 Paper Finder breaks down your query into relevant components, such as searching for papers, following citations, evaluating for relevance, and running follow-up queries based on the results. It then presents not only the papers, but also short summaries of why the paper is relevant to your specific query.
Compared to other similar tools, Paper Finder aims to cover the long tail of more niche findings and hard-to-find papers that requires an iterative searching process. Read the blog for more details!
CodeScientist, a promising next step toward autonomous scientific discovery
In large-scale experiments focused on AI agents and virtual environments, CodeScientist produced 19 potential discoveries, six of which were validated by human experts as meeting the threshold for scientific soundness and novelty. While autonomous scientific discovery systems still face challenges—such as ensuring reliability and evaluating discoveries effectively—CodeScientist is a promising next step.

Meet OLMo 2 32B, the most capable and largest model in the OLMo 2 family! It is comparable to the leading open-weight models while requiring only a fraction of training compute. As a fully open model, all artifacts are available including training code, pre- & post-train data, model weights, and a recipe on how to reproduce it yourself. The Buoy App, powered by Ai2's EarthRanger, enables fishermen to track and manage on-demand fishing gear with real-time mapping and deployment details—helping protect North Atlantic right whales while supporting sustainable fishing practices.
